Ready for an extra dose of creativity and problem-solving? With an Engineering Challenge, students will tackle a fun design prompt using specific materials and building guidelines. As they imagine, create, test, and improve their designs, they'll practice critical thinking, perseverance, and the engineering design process while discovering that there is often more than one great solution.
Half of the session will be spent working through the Engineering Challenge, while the remaining time will be dedicated to free creation in the lab. This gives students the best of both worlds—the excitement of a guided challenge and the freedom to explore their own ideas, inventions, and creative projects using our wide variety of supplies and tools.
